How To Buy Diamonds Online For Ridiculously Low Prices

Almost all of us will buy a diamond, a diamond ring or another kind of diamond jewel. Getting married involves buying a diamond ring for your fiance, anniversary rings are also common, and let's not forget men's diamond rings - they are very popular, too.

In the age of information, it makes sense to consider the option of buying a diamond on the Internet. And indeed, mega sites like bluenile.com, diamond.com and more offer a huge selection of diamonds in all shapes and sizes to choose from. Many of the diamonds are certified so you don't risk getting a diamond that is less than promised.

The big diamond sites are a good option for getting a diamond, but in most cases the savings on the price will not be too great - in fact, you may get a similar price if you haggle a bit with a local diamond dealer. The best place to locate real bargains in the diamond field is ebay.com

There has been a lot of talk on buying and selling on ebay, and one ca find good advice about these subjects. Buy in this article we'll discuss specific advice about buying diamonds on ebay.

There are some very simple rules that need to be observed when buying diamonds on ebay. If you follow these rules you are very likely to find great deals on ebay.

Advice no. 1 - Search the right way. Go for the "advanced search" option. There will be an "Exclude these words" box. You want to exclude words like : "lab", "zircon", "enhanced". This will weed out the "wannabe" diamonds and leave you with the best ones.

Advice no.2 - Does the seller have a solid positive feedback? - check the seller's feedback and see that they have at least 50 positive feedbacks form selling diamonds in the past. Also note how many negative feedback they had. Strive for at least %98 positive feedback. In many cases it is tempting to buy a cheap diamond from a new seller, but this is in many cases a bad move, as you have no knowledge on this seller

Advice no.3 - Watch similar diamonds to the one you want and see how much the sell for. Dont buy right away. Just watch a few auctions as they evolve. This will help you establish a range of prices you aim at.

Advice no. 4 - Go for certified. Again, it's tempting to buy an un-certified diamond but in many cases this will be a big mistake. Go for certified diamonds only and this way you'll make sure you get what you paid for, no less.

Advice no. 5 - Use ebay as a means of pressure. If you have a local diamond dealer who is trying to sell you a diamond, you may want to use the price levels you see on ebay as leverage in your negotiation with that dealer. You may get a better deal.

Going online to buy a diamond can save you thousands of dollars. Give this approach a try the nest time you go shopping for a diamond.

Rollback Rx A Great Pc Maintenance Solution

Maintaining a PC or a network of PCs has become very easy with RollBack Rx system restore software, which lets you do a complete pc restore, at the same time retaining all the data even if it has been created after the system restore point. As an advanced PC maintenance solution, Rollback Rx is great as a data recovery solution. Compared to other PC maintenance applications in the market, Rollback Rx is way ahead in its category. It takes system snapshots and choosing a snapshot does the pc restore.

Rollback Rx Snapshots

A snapshot in Rollback Rx is a checkpoint for system configuration, indicating a specific point in time. Unlimited snapshots are possible with Rollback Rx Pro. In other words, you can roll back or roll ahead to choose the system state you want. These snapshots, which are literally maps of the sectors on the hard drive where data is stored, are stored on the hard drive itself within the Rollback Rxs system data structure. No files or folders are used as backup the snapshots are parts of the hard drive sector. Rollback Rx can protect from day zero attacks without any data loss too. But every system user wants their antivirus and antispyware application to provide real time protection in the prevention of virus and spyware attacks. Rollback Rx enables antivirus signature updates to happen automatically. There is no folder redirection or downtime scheduling involved, avoiding a host of additional problems. Just schedule to take a system snapshot before or after any updates with Rollback Rx system restore software.

My Review of the JVC Digital Video Camera

My brother is an amateur film-maker. It was he who introduced me to the wonderful JVC digital video camera. He loved it so much that I was tempted to buy one of my own. After a few years I finally had enough dough to purchase my very own JVC digital video camera. I had no idea that I would be in for quite a surprise.

After buying it I began a thrilling adventure as an amateur film-maker. The quality you get from this amazing camera was close to that of feature length films made in Hollywood. As long as you have proper lighting, and acquire a competent sound boom, you can make a decent movie with the help of a JVC digital video camera. All at the cost of the camcorder and the editing software needed to put your movie together.

I become hooked with the idea of being a film-maker after trying out my JVC digital video camera. Watching movies is great, but it pales in comparison to the thrill you can get from making your own movie. I was also able to involve my fiends in my new found hobby.

We would fashion out a script and with my JVC digital video camera and a few necessary filming equipment, we were on our way in making a potential blockbuster. It usually takes a couple of weeks to finish a respectable twenty minute film.

We would then get together and watch the finished product and try to figure out ways to improve our project. The JVC digital video camera is also excellent for filming the final project. WE entered our project in a amateur movie contest and although we have yet to win a competition our work elicited a good bit of encouraging feedback.

Morgan Hamilton offers expert advice and great tips regarding all aspects concerning JVC Digital Video Camera. Visit http://www.newelectronicsinformation.com/electronics/electronics/my-review-of-the-jvc-digital-video-camera.html.Crissy Blog89762

A Typical Homeowners Insurance Policy Has Four Key Ingredients

A typical homeowners insurance policy has four key ingredients. They are:

1. Homeowner insurance coverage for your home itself
2. Homeowner insurance coverage for your family's personal items
3. Homeowner liability coverage
4. Coverage for the expenses of temporary living should you have to vacate your home because of fire, flood or other disaster covered by your homeowner policy.

The portion of the homeowner coverage for your home itself provides funds for the repair or reconstruction of your home if it has been damaged or destroyed by disaster such as hurricane, hail, lightning, fire or any other covered event. What is not covered with a standard homeowner policy is normal wear and tear on your home or damage caused by an earthquake or flood. (There are homeowner policies that cover these, but they are more costly and in some regions, such as flood prone areas they are not available at all.)

When you take our your homeowner policy you'll want to be sure and buy enough coverage for total reconstruction of your home

Most standard homeowner policies also protect structures on your property although detached from your home, such as in-law quarters, garage or gazebo. It's common practice to cover these unattached structures for ten percent of the covered value of your house.

Should any of your clothing, electronic equipment, furnishings, or other personal belongings be destroyed by insured disaster, or stolen, they are covered by your homeowner policy. Most carriers cover them at the rate of 50-70 percent of the total dollar figure of your home structure's coverage.

There is also a clause in your homeowner policy for coverage of off-premises items. Which means that if you take your personal belongings elsewhere and they become lost or damaged your homeowner policy will generally reimburse you at least ten percent of the amount of coverage that you have on them when they are on your home premises. Homeowner policies also provide up to $500 of protection against unauthorized credit card use as well.

For high priced items like jewelry and fur a standard homeowner policy will usually limit your coverage to $100-$2000. You can purchase coverage up to appraised value for an additional charge. In either case there is no deductible and coverage includes your accidental loss of the items.

Foliage around your home such as trees and shrubs also come under the protection of your homeowner policy. Usually the money figure is five percent of the home's insured value, but up to $500 for each bloom. They are protected against even riots, vandalism, explosion and airplane crashes. They are not insured against wind or disease damage.

Liability coverage protects you against litigation should anyone or anything become injured on your premises. You are also covered for damage done by your children or pets to the property of others as well. This coverage is in force even if you are not in your own home or on your own property. It covers any court defense as well as any court appointed financial award against you. The coverage limit is generally more than $100,000, although a $300,000 minimum is a standard recommendation.

Your homeowner policy also takes care of living expenses if you temporarily have to vacate your home because of damage and during repair and reconstruction of your home. Coverage includes hotel costs, meals in restaurants and other common expenses. Coverage limit of 20 percent of your home's insured value is common for this. If part of your home served as rental property your homeowner policy will also reimburse you the amount of the rent that you are losing because of the disaster.

Oceania Properties: Own a Piece of Paradise

The largest of the 365 mostly uninhabited islands of the 120 mile Exuma Archipelago, Great Exuma stretches effortlessly across the Tropic of Cancer about 300 miles off the South Florida coast, and 130 miles southeast of Nassau which is the capital of The Bahamas. The magnificently tropical Exumas average a balmy temperature of 26 degrees Celsius or 79 degrees Fahrenheit daily.

This summer was my day of discovery in which I had the opportunity to visit the lifestyle opportunity of this premiere destination. Much to my pleasure I was graciously extended a tour of the spectacular Exuma by local developer and resident of thirty years, Howard Obront, along with his trusted and loyal comrade Shelton "Gulf " Morley. As a man of all seasons, Gulf was a ton of fun to have around as a tour guide, boat captain and story teller.

Having had his hand in the development of the well known February Point, Obront is now venturing on in the latest gated community known as Oceania Heights.

Keeping in touch with the culture and tranquillity of the island, Exuma has regulated that no more than 30% of the island may be developed, protecting the islands purity and well-preserved condition for the future. Still, absolutely everything you would need is at your fingertips. I certainly couldn't think of anything further I would need and the absence of fast food chains unquestionably couldn't harm anyone. "If you want nothing, you have it. If you want to find something you can," says Obront knowingly as he sits to share with me his past, his future and his visions for the island and for Oceania Properties. His passion and inviting personality are enough to open my mind to the possibilities of what this seventh heaven has to offer.

Well respected among the population of Exuma, Howard Obront has a vast knowledge of the comings and goings of the island. Celebrities such as Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, and even Bill Gates all have properties within the area. Johnny Depp is no stranger, having stayed in one of the Oceania Properties villas while filming 'Pirates of the Caribbean 3'. Even on my brief escape, a fellow traveller was sure to have sighted Reese Witherspoon enjoying the seclusion with her family. For celebrities who experience the constant pressure of the paparazzi, as well as the many other stresses that accompany their careers, the islands are a haven allowing much needed tranquility in their lives.

Doctors are found to be congregating rapidly to Exuma as well. In fact, although the development is still in its early stages, at last count, all six of the existing Luxury Hill Top Villas, with breathtaking panoramic ocean views, were found to be owned by physicians. Presently, six more magnificent Custom Estate Villas are being built - these too are for physicians. Also in a high-stress career, doctors from near and far seem to have been let in on the secret of the peace and relaxation found in Exuma. Renowned Miami cardiologist and author of 'The Reality Diet, Fighting Fat With Fibre', Dr. Steven A. Schnur of Mount Sinai Medical Center, spends his valued free time relaxing with his wife and two children at Oceania Heights. "People positioning themselves here are among the friendliest and most neighbourly in the world and have chosen Exuma as the ideal place for their second home and eventual retirement," states Obront with a smile on his face that translates into an unspoken confidence in the luxurious serenity that is Exuma. Having a corporate or personal address in the gated community of Oceania Heights, in The Bahamas, not only provides opportunities to live an exclusive island lifestyle with world class amenities but it also provides the opportunity for generating tax-free income through appreciating property as well as the rental pool program. As many investors are aware, real restate is a tangible asset, which appreciates in value as you enjoy all the benefits of a vacation home. The July issue of 'The Bahamas Investor' states that on one of the islands the appreciation of condo values is approximately $300,000.00 from start date, and they haven't even been completed yet. One year ago a canal lot on Paradise Island sold for $1.5 million and is now selling for $2.2 million, an amazing $700,000.00 profit in one year. With The Bahamas tourist industry enjoying constant, sustained growth with more sophisticated resorts, more facilities and services, more and more opportunities for investment are showing up, giving further reason to investigate the Islands' potential for investment.

In the premiere issue of Exuma Visitors Guide, Glenn S. Ferguson writes, "In the last five years, there has been a dramatic growth in real estate investment and development. The crowning jewel is the $100 million Emerald Bay development premier Four Seasons Resort with 183 rooms and a Greg Norman designed golf course. This development has resulted in real estate investment prices rising between 45%-60% per year but you must act quickly to ensure the best investment returns."

As the world's premier tax haven, The Bahamas offers the perfect investment opportunity as there are no personal, corporate, income, capital gains, estate, gift or inheritance taxes. Easy access to major world markets, political stability, security and economic opportunities are all a reality of business in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Since 1977, the Bahamian dollar has been linked 1 to 1 with the U.S dollar and both are used interchangeably throughout the island. In fact, I found that anytime I was to pay with Bahamian currency I was usually given American currency as change.

Nassau, capital of The Bahamas, is a leading international offshore banking center with over 400 banks. Second in the world only to London in the number of financial institutions it holds, Nassau is renowned for its laws guaranteeing banking confidentiality. The Bahamas is trusted by individuals and corporations from all over the world. Of the some 15,000 companies registered in The Bahamas over 90% are foreign. Money, in The Bahamas, is both accessible and discreet.

The Bahamas has been named "the best financial centre in the western hemisphere," by the global magazine, The Banker, Minister of Financial Services and Investments the Hon. Allyson Maynard Gibson revealed in February of 2006. Additionally, "Other than the United States of America and Canada, we have the highest standard of living in the hemisphere," states the Hon. Perry G. Christie, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Now voted one of the top three international destinations in the world by The Washington Post, the island of Great Exuma, Bahamas is attracting attention not only from international media, but major resort developers, such as Four Seasons Resort at Emerald Bay. Still, the only sounds you will hear walking around Oceania Heights are the singing birds, the waves lapping on the shore and the gentle breezes rustling through the palm trees. This paradise within a paradise truly captures the elegance of luxury living all the while maintaining an exclusivity that is intangible.

With all the amenities of a first class resort, Oceania Heights offers a welcome escape from the hectic pace of everyday life, while offering all of the conveniences of home. Rental and real estate contact Alexandria "Zandy" Turtle exceeded our expectations making sure our villa was stocked with fresh fruit, drinks and flowers. It was wonderful! As I wandered out the French doors of my bedroom onto the secluded terrace of my villa, I became conscious of the luxurious privacy and the unsurpassed ocean view. The comfort of such peace and quiet I found to be priceless.

When evening came we dined in beautiful locations such as The Four Seasons or the ever popular Coconut Cove, which offered a beautiful view of the beach, swim up bar and the sun setting on the Atlantic Ocean. Coconut Cove owner Pam was more than hospitable offering conventional Bahamian fare such as blackened grouper or roasted lamb as well as traditional American lobster, pizza and 'cowboy' steak. Without hesitation I would have to recommend the shrimp cocktail, if nothing else.

"The deep sea fishing is great here," tells Howard Obront's brother and Miami trial attorney, Curt Obront, who joined us one evening for dinner. A frequent visitor of Exuma, Curt enjoys his time spear fishing on the reefs for his lobster dinner or bone fishing on one of the many flats nearby. If you like your seafood fresh, this would be the way to get it. However, if you aren't adventurous enough to catch it on your own, you can watch your fresh conch salad being prepared along the shore of Stocking Island. This was an experience in itself for me.

Beyond the exquisite dining and secluded beaches, Oceania Properties offers a fabulous tennis club with well lit courts to allow for play at any time of day or night. As well, the state of the art fitness centre will help you stay on track with your training and self-care regimen. The front gates of Oceania Properties, operated by courteous security staff, maintain a feeling of privacy and security although you can rest easy knowing that this island maintains a zero percent crime rate. Oceania Heights guests and residents also enjoy special access to the Greg Norman designed golf course and full-service spa facility at the Four Seasons Resort. From daily housekeeping services to 24 hour security for peace of mind, Oceania Properties "offers everything including things you'd forget to ask for," says Obront.

Surrounded by culture, beauty and genuine hospitality, the island seemed to radiate certain "energy". When the time came to head home I could see why so many are choosing to make Oceania Heights their home away from home.

It has been noted that when Christopher Columbus landed on the island years ago he was taken by the friendly smiles and accommodating people. Even today, this way of life on Exuma remains constant. With visions of rolling hills and spectacular panoramic views tucked safely away in my memory I look forward to my return when I can relive those memories.

For profit or pleasure, many of the worlds leading professionals have chosen to invest in this tax free island paradise and once you have been there, even for a moment, it is exceedingly clear why.

Considering a Condo Hotel? Here Are 20 Things You Need to Know!

1. What is a condo hotel or condotel?

Think of a condo hotel (also sometimes called a condotel or hotel condo) as buying a condominium, although one that is part of a four-star caliber hotel. Therefore, as an owner, when you are on vacation, youll get the benefit of more four-star services and amenities than you'd get in a typical condominium.

2. What types of services and amenities are found in condo hotels?

If you can imagine the niceties youd find in an upscale hotel, then you can picture a condo hotel. Among the features are often resort-style pools, full-service spas, state-of-the-art fitness centers, fine dining restaurants, concierge services and room service.

In some locations, like Las Vegas, youll find condo hotels with their own casinos, retail areas, and entertainment venues. In places like Orlando, youll find condo hotels with their own water parks and convention facilities.

3. What is the difference between a condo hotel and a traditional condominium?

The big difference between a hotel and a condo hotel is that a hotel typically has one owner, either individual or corporate, but a condo hotel is sold off unit by unit. Therefore, a 300-room condo hotel could have as many as 300 unit owners.

4. Is it evident to hotel guests whether theyre staying in a condo hotel or a traditional hotel?

A hotel guest will likely never know that the hotel has multiple owners because the property is operated just like a traditional hotel and often under the management of a well-known hotel company like Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood, Trump or W.

Also, each of the individual condo hotel units will look identical in design and dcor to every other, just as they would in a traditional hotel.

5. Who typically buys condo hotels?

Theyre primarily sold to people who want a vacation home but do not want to deal with the hassles typically associated with second home ownership such as maintaining the property or finding renters in the off season.

6. What is the demographic of the typical condo hotel buyer?

The spectrum of condo hotel buyers is pretty broad. There are families that want a second home in a vacation destination. There are baby boomers who are at or nearing retirement and want somewhere they can winter.

There are also plenty of investors who purchase a condo hotel unit with little intention of ever using it; theyre in it for the potential appreciation of the real estate.

7. Can you live in a condo hotel?

Condo hotels are not typically offered as primary residences. In fact, many of them limit the unit owner's usage of the condo hotel unit (typically 30-60 days per year) because the unit is expected and needed in the hotel's nightly rental program where it can be offered to guests and generate revenue.

8. Who gets the money when your condo hotel is rented out?

The hotel management company splits the rental revenue with the individual condo hotel owner. While the exact percentages vary from property to property, the typical rental split is in the 50%-50% range.

9. Who finds hotel guests and then cleans and maintains the condo hotel units?

The hotel management company markets the property and books hotel guests. It also maintains the unit and ensures the smooth operation of all of the hotels services and amenities.

10. What are the advantages / disadvantages of purchasing a condotel over purchasing typical rental properties?

Advantages include:

Hassle-free ownership; no landlord issues
Rental revenue to offset some or maybe all ownership expenses
A fantastic vacation home available for use whenever you want
A real estate investment at a time when other investments may seem less attractive
Strong likelihood of appreciation
Pride of ownership --"I own a piece of a Trump"

Disadvantages include:

Annual cash flow could be equal to or less than annual ownership costs
Pets are usually not welcome.
An owners condo hotel unit may be rented when the owner wants to it, so advance reservations are required to guarantee availability.
The condo hotel unit is subject to the same dips in the market that affect all hotels in the competitive market set: hurricanes, terrorist threats, warm winters up north, price of gas, etc., all of which can affect a unit's occupancy rate and the amount of revenue it generates.

11. Are condo hotel units difficult to finance?

Not at all, but they do take 20% down typically, whereas condos can be purchased with less cash down. It's also important to make sure you use a mortgage broker who has had success in getting condo hotel financing deals done. Not all banks offer financing for this type of real estate, but more and more are getting involved as condo hotels become more widely available.

12. How long have condo hotels been around and where are they located?

Condo hotels have been around for several decades, but the huge surge of four-star and five-star condo hotels that have been making their way across the country, started around year 2000 in the Miami area.

The Miami-Fort Lauderdale area currently has the most condo hotels, but areas like Orlando and Las Vegas are developing condo hotel properties at an even faster rate and will likely surpass South Florida soon. Outside the U.S., up-and-coming condo hotel areas are the Bahamas, Panama, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Canada and Dubai.

13. How much do condo hotel units cost?

Thats like asking how much a car costs. There are different quality condo hotels. Some require greater amounts of money than others, obviously.

There are inexpensive condo hotels out there for as little as $100,000. These are typically found in properties that have converted their use from an existing hotel. They are hotel room-sized, lack kitchen facilities, luxury franchises, and other first-class amenities.

Then there are the four-star or greater properties that may start in the $300,000 to $400,000 range, but can go all the way up to $800,000 just for a studio unit.

One- and two-bedroom units cost substantially more than a studio. Of course, the studios do come fully furnished and finished, and will be significantly larger in size than a typical hotel room, and may attract guests because of its name like St. Regis, Ritz or W.

14. What are typical maintenance costs?

On average about $1.00 to $1.50 per sq. ft., but the range can exceed $2.00 sq. ft. in the most luxurious properties.

15. Do you buy condo hotel units after they have been built, or can you purchase condo hotels in pre-construction?

Unless you are in a hurry to get started vacationing or you need to complete a 1031 exchange, it's best to buy condo hotels in pre-construction as early as possible. Thats when prices are lowest and unit selection is greatest.

You will likely wait two years or longer before closing on and taking possession of your condo hotel unit, but you will have locked in the price and will get the benefit of maximum appreciation.

16. Is there anything else investors should want to know about condotels?

There is more to buying this type of real estate than the old phrase, "location, location, location." While most condo hotels are located in desirable resort and business area locations, what is most important is a good franchise with a strong reservation system.

Also, do not be fooled by an aggressive rental split. One way or the other, the developer of the property will have to staff, maintain and operate the hotel and its services like the restaurants, bars, spas and pools from his share of the proceeds.

If he's giving you a very favorable share of the rental, he's also more likely to be charging you a higher monthly maintenance fee. Of course, this goes both ways. If the maintenance split that is offered is closer to 50-50, then your maintenance should be more reasonable too.

17. Any suggestions to investors in choosing which condo hotel to buy?

Get good advice. That means you dont want to rely only on the pitch provided by an onsite salesperson at a condo hotel.

You want to talk with a broker who specializes in condo hotels and who knows and understands the entire condo hotel market, not just the facts pertaining to a single property. He or she will listen to your wants and needs and then offer recommendations as to which properties best match your requirements. Youll have an opportunity to comparison shop and consider the pros and cons of each available property.

A good broker can be the difference between your buying a condo hotel that will be problematic and not live up to your expectations or one that will provide you with years of great vacations, good annual revenue and a substantial profit when you sell.

18. Does it cost more to use a real estate broker to purchase a condo hotel than buying a unit on ones own?

No! With new condo hotel properties, the prices are always set by the developer and are exactly the same whether you buy directly from an onsite salesperson at the property or using a broker.

The brokers commission is always paid by the developer and is already built into the price regardless of whether an outside broker participates in the sale or not. Since a brokers representation is free to buyers, it does make sense to enlist their aid and get the benefit of their advice before making a purchase.

19. How can prospective buyers find a good condo hotel broker?

Ask friends for broker recommendations or search online for condo hotel broker.

Also, visit condo hotel real estate websites and see if the information they provide seems comprehensive and unbiased. If their website seems to focus on selling homes or office space, and the condo hotel information appears to be an afterthought, steer clear. Because condo hotels are a unique type of real estate, your best bet is to work with a condo hotel broker who specializes.

20. How can buyers learn about new condo hotel properties coming on the market?

Condo hotel brokers can be good information sources as they often learn about properties prior to their release to the general public. Another option is to subscribe to a condo hotel newsletter such as the one we publish called Condo Hotel Property Alert.

We offer subscriptions for free on our website, http://www.CondoHotelCenter.com. It features a different condo hotel property coming on the market each edition, giving buyers an opportunity to invest when prices are at their lowest levels and the selection of available units is greatest.

Joel Greene is the President of Condo Hotel Center located in Miami Florida, which specializes in the sale of condo hotels. Visit his information-packed web site, http://www.CondoHotelCenter.com, for more facts on condo hotels and to see condo hotel listings, photos and prices. Delphinia Blog2567

In our society this is the first question were asked, after "What is your name?" The real question is: How do you answer this question?

Do you tell people your title: clerk, programmer, driver, teacher, sales rep or receptionist or do you answer more descriptively?

Too many people respond to this question with a bland, unimaginative job title or standard industry classification (SIC) code. B-O-R-I-N-G! To set yourself apart from the crowd, cast your profession in its most ennobling light and focus on the benefits of your work as they accrue to others!

Consider Ruth Blumert Walker, longtime receptionist for the Oakland, California law firm of DONAHUE, GALLAGHER, WOODS AND WOOD. When asked her occupation, Blumert proudly proclaims Im the Director of First Impressions." Indeed she is!

Walker knows that people dread going to a law firm. They're usually there because of a problem and their visit is costly to boot. Walker understands the key role she plays in their experience, and her moniker showcases the power she possesses to make a difference.

Why not replace your official title or occupation with a more descriptive tag line? An effective "tag line" casts your skills in an ennobling light, sharing pride in your chosen profession. People respond affirmatively when you tantalize and enthrall them with an interesting or compelling tag line. Furthermore, youre sending a message you have a strong sense of who you are and what you do and are thus deemed more employable.

Consider the following:

The residential realtor who describes herself as "putting people into their dream home." What a powerful statement she is making.

The commercial credit specialist who smiles and tells strangers who ask that he is "giving credit where credit is due."

A commercial airline pilot informs people who ask that she is shrinking the globe to reunite families and loved ones.

A midwife proudly proclaims that she is bringing new life into this world.

In each case these professionals are sharing some of the magic of their profession with their listeners. And listeners respond accordingly. Its a powerful conversation opener, whether in a networking event, a job interview or just during casual conversation

Whatever your profession, you can create a "tag" line to showcase the results of your work and cast it in an ennobling light.

Here are some more examples to stimulate your creative juices:

The Internal Revenue Service agent who tells people who ask that he's a "government fundraiser.

The Gardener tells people "I Turn the World Green. . .one garden at a time."

The Dietitian says "I Teach People How to Behave in Front of Food."

The Voice Coach who proclaims she "Gives Voice to the Timid."

The Telephone Customer Service Representative (CSR) who tells people she "has a special calling.

The Plantronics headset saleswoman who says she helps people "Use their head not their hands. "

The photographer who Gets paid to shoot people for a living.

The executive assistant who calls herself the Presidential Gatekeeper

And even the motivational speaker, Craig Harrison, who tells people he's "a motivational magician who turns aspirations into achievements."

It's your turn! Look anew at your occupation or profession and identify its outcome or the effect its commission has on people. Now create a descriptive tag line to excite others about what you do, and what it can do for them!

Use the power of language to create a compelling tag line that gives you pride and infuses others with excitement too. Tag, you're IT!

Michigan Football Tickets - Do They Hold The Same Value As 10 Years Ago?

Over time, Michigan football tickets have become special for many reasons. The Wolverines not only have the most wins for a college football program in the United States, but as of this writing they also have the highest winning percentage of any major college team. For over 100 years, the Wolverines have been winning in a big way, counting over 850 victories to their credit during that time.

However, the Wolverines have struggled a bit in recent years as teams in the Big Ten have begun to compete with them on a regular basis. There does need to be a disclaimer in place, however, in that an off year for the Wolverines would be an outstanding season for most other programs. Regardless, Michigan fans have come to expect a certain level of dominance over time, and a look at the past few seasons may show why the perception is that the team isnt the premier program it once was.

The Start of the Perceived Decline

The Wolverines won their first Modern Era national championship in 1997 after finishing an undefeated season. It was the pinnacle for a program that had won six Big Ten titles in the previous 10 seasons, and the Wolverines were heroes to students, fans and alumni all over the world. Players such as Brian Griese and Charles Woodson were the stars of that team, and the program appeared to be as strong as ever.

The team had another strong year in 1998 when they won another Big Ten title, but did not go to the Rose Bowl that year due to a tiebreaker rule. They followed that season with another strong 10-2 record in 1999 but failed to win the Big Ten, finishing behind Wisconsin, who went to the Rose Bowl and represented the Big Ten with a victory.

It was the dawn of the 21st Century that led to fans and alumni grumbling that the program was starting to decline. You wouldnt have known it based on sales of Michigan football tickets, as the Big House was and is still packed for every game with over 100,000 fans. However, the Wolverines lost three games in 2000 and did not advance to the Rose Bowl.

2001 led to more grumbling, as the team lost four games, including losses to hated rivals Michigan State and Ohio State. They also lost to Tennessee in the Florida Citrus Bowl. The Wolverines lost three games in each of the next three seasons, and an even more troubling trend began to emerge - the Wolverines had lost their recent dominance over the Buckeyes. This, perhaps more than any other factor, has led to dissatisfaction among Wolverine fans.

The bottom appeared to fall out in 2005, when the team posted a 7-5 record and lost to Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio State and Nebraska. 7-5 may be a good record for most programs, but its unacceptable in Ann Arbor, and Coach Lloyd Carr is feeling the heat these days.

The Decline in Reality

A look at the numbers shows a slight, but not rapid, decline in Michigans winning percentage. Since they began to play football in 1883, the Wolverines won 75% of their games. Since 2001, Michigan is 44-18, which still results in a 70% winning percentage. So then, why do fans perceive the Wolverines to be in decline? Probably two reasons more than any others - they have not been beating Ohio State with regularity, losing three of the last four games against the Buckeyes. They have also lost 11 games in the past three years, which is more than fans are accustomed to.

What does all of this mean? First, the program is not in decline. They had a tough year in 2005, but that will most likely look like an aberration 10 years from now. Secondly, Michigan football tickets are as special as they ever have been.

Stained Glass Cutting Made Easy

If you're interested in getting started with stained glass. The first thing you need to do is to turn what the budget is that you want to spend. A good cutting tool should be your top priority. A good cutting tool is the center of any stained glass window project. If you are lucky enough to have somebody donate a stained glass cutter to then obviously it will be a very little cost. But, cutters are usually very reasonably priced so, even if you have to purchase one, its usually a very minimal cost. i would start by getting a glass cutter instead of using a big industrial glass cutter. Start out with the old tried and true glass cutter with an oil reservoir. This simple option will be a low cost alternative to the large and pricey cutters you find out there. In addition to the glass cutter with an oil reservoir, you'll also need grozing pliers, breaking pliers cutting oil, and maybe some scrapped glass to practice. This can all be picked up at a arts and crafts store either online or offline. It's important when ever cutting glass to make sure that you wear safety glasses. You may think its excessive, tiny particles are likely to pop up from the glass as you cut. it's better to be safe than be sorry.

Glass cutters don't work by actually cutting surface, they make a very fine score that begins the break. Getting a good score is key to getting a very clean break. I recommend the tried and true cutter with a straight shaft and oil reservoir. One example would be the models that are made by fletcher. The oil keeps the wheel turning smoothly. This is essential to getting a good cut. You want to always make sure your oil is right next to you so you can keep your cutter in mint condition.

An important tip one scoring or stained glass is to keep the same glass cutter perpendicular to the glass. Tilting it back and forth will generally not make for as clean of a score. When you push the cutter for make sure the apply a decent amount of force. it doesn't matter if you move the cutter forward or backward, that's more of a question of personal preference. Its very vital that you only score each spot once, don't score twice. This can cause damage to your wheel and your stained glass cutter, and you definitely don't want to damage something that you just invested in. When you've finished scoring, you want to grip the part you will discard with the breaking pliers and grip the other side with the grozing pliers. Do not try to bend the stained glass into breaking, but more you want to try to pull the glass away from each other. This should get you well on your way to becoming a stained glass expert. Remember that practice does make perfect. The most important thing is to keep a lot of band-aids around!

Dave Roth has been teaching stained glass for over 20 years, owns and runs a stained glass supplies retail store in Illinois, and runs a website at http://www.scstainedglass.com. The store features supplies, stained glass cutters, and tools. The site features free glass patterns, glass tutorials, and other artist resources.Crissy Blog43491

Natural Weight Loss for Good Health and Well Being

Weight loss is becoming an unhealthy obsession dealing with body images, but in some cases can improve health and fitness. When weight loss is a result of eating healthy, exercising and/or taking natural weight loss supplements in contrast to synthetic prescription drugs with the risk of harmful side effects, weight loss can be effective, rewarding, and greatly improve overall health.

Extra weight, especially extra fat on a person's body, applies significantly increased stresses on the heart, joints and back. These stresses can be extremely detrimental to one's health. Healthy weight loss can reduce the risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, arthritis and other health problems, as well as generally extending an otherwise average life span. Recently, the scientific root cause or explanation of obesity has been revealed as being part of one's physiology. The internal functions of an obese person are different than those of a healthy person, and cause intense hunger pains and food cravings.

Natural weight loss supplements can help counteract this constant hunger and lead to healthy weight loss. Unbalanced hormones are a common cause of weight gain, therefore taking natural hormone balancers and herbal supplements would help to create a healthy weight loss regimen. Restoring your health allows you to lose weight naturally, without excess frustration and effort. It's all about losing weight from the inside out.

Emotional issues always accompany change, especially changes in our bodies e.g. natural weight loss. Weight loss affects our perception body image, our sense of identity i.e. who am I?, and how we feel about ourselves in general. Weight loss also effects our social relationships in that there may be people in our family or social contacts that are emotionally invested in our remaining the same i.e. overweight with all that it symbolizes e.g. friendliness, non-threatening, protective, jovial, helpful, etc. Beyond our physical health, it can be said that "size matters" cognitively and emotionally to ourselves and others. Eating and food have come to symbolize being accepted, being cared for and comfort. Having the support of others in our efforts to naturally lose weight and regain our health is a huge advantage.

We have been "conditioned" to fear any kind of loss, including weight loss. Especially if what we may lose is something with which we identify i.e. use to tell us who we are.

The emotions of fear, anger, anxiety and depression effect our weight. We often tend to "stuff our feelings" or numb these emotional feelings or stress by overeating. We may even overeat, thinking that will ease the physical discomfort caused by excess weight e.g. physical pain, lack of sleep, and lack of energy caused by moderate depression. To improve our overall health and support us through the process of natural weight loss and the emotional dynamics around it, we can take advantage of natural sleep aids, natural depression relief and natural pain relief health care products.

Our weight and health is greatly dependent upon our having a healthy digestive system or metabolism. Our digestive system converts, on a cellular and muscular level, the foods we eat, eliminates toxins, and uses and stores glucose for energy. Natural enzymes trigger hunger signals and facilitate absorption of nutrition. Good digestion with the help of natural enzymes aids in the conversion of fat to muscle.

Allergy and sensitivity to food, parasites, yeast overgrowth and emotional stress are signals of digestive disruption and inflammation. Natural essential fatty acids work to reduce intestinal inflammation, decrease harmful acids, help the liver process proteins that grow muscle, balance hormones and facilitate the elimination of toxins. Natural essential fatty acids help clear our digestive system of heavy metals, harmful bacteria, pesticides that we are increasingly encountering in our environment. Essential fatty acids along with natural fiber help us clean out the intestinal debris that harm our health and often lead to weight gain. Essential fatty acids also help our brain's neurotransmitters to function properly in order to deal with stress, emotions, and cravings that can lead to overeating and weight gain.

Natural amino acids are the building blocks that make up proteins. Next to water, protein makes up the greatest part of our body weight. Amino acids help increase metabolism, build muscle, ease moderate depression, and help burn fat. Natural antioxidants help carry more oxygen to cells and muscles to help increase energy, burn fat, build muscle and process the foods we eat.

Hormone balance is essential for natural weight loss. Our metabolism slows as we get older because of the decrease or imbalance of hormones. This contributes to weight gain. Hormone balance also helps us deal with stress that leads to weight gain. Proper hormone balance helps to decrease cravings and binge eating. There are many natural hormone balancing products available, e.g. natural progesterone, promensil, soy isoflavones, essential fatty acids and hormone balancing formulas.

Our metabolism's primary task is to nourish our brains. We need healthy neurotransmitters to help us curb craving, ease depression, and deal with stress that lead to weight gain. Balancing our natural brain chemistry has a calming effect and allows us to feel a sens of well being and safety. There are many natural health care products to help balance brain chemistry, e.g. essential fatty acids, natural depression relief products, natural products to increase serotonin, and more. When our brain feels well and safe, it is prone to change our metabolism from calorie saving to calorie burning.

Our bodies were designed to move and be active. Movement requires muscle activity. Muscle activity uses the glycogen supply found in our muscles. When this glycogen supply stored in our muscles is used, our body is forced to use stored fat as an energy source. Using this stored fat through movement and exercise, results in natural weight loss. There is no reason for us to become athletes to accomplish natural weight loss. Low impact exercise like swimming, walking, etc, can be done slowly and without strain. In order to lose real weight rather than "water weight", it is important to drink extra amounts of water when exercising. Drinking more water will also help our digestive system and metabolism to use and eliminate extra weight.

Remember, the first objective, accomplished through natural weight loss, is to improve our physical and emotional health. This involves having a healthy digestive system, a healthy emotional system and a healthy nutritional system. We can build these healthy systems with natural vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, natural digestive aid, pain relief aid, natural sleep aids, natural emotional and mood aids, essential fatty acids and many more helpful natural health care products. We need to concentrate on improving our general health, feeling good, and living well through natural weight loss, rather than constantly comparing ourselves to someone else's idea about appearance from some magazine. Physical and emotional health is primary. Appearance may be important to us, but it is secondary. Through natural weight loss, we can live well and live long.

Twenty-First Century Passport Security

A biometric passport is a combination of a paper and electronic identity document that used to authenticate the citizenship of travelers. The biometric passport is valid for 5 years for first time applicants, compared to 10 years passports without biometric features. The biometric passport is planned to have digital imaging and fingerprint biometrics placed on the radio frequency identification chip. A biometric passport uses the most advanced technology to verify a persons identity, looking the same as a regular passport, with the exception of the computer chip on the photo page.

Passports and ID cards are unlikely to actually use most the thirteen biometric indicators the government proposes to collect on all citizens. Passports are to be now based on biometric testing, and the passport's critical information is stored on a tiny RFID computer chip, much like how information is stored on smartcards.

Biometric passports first appeared in Belgium around the in 2004, putting the country a pioneer in the field. Biometric passports cannot be changed due to information only being able to be written to it once. Biometrics automates the process that verifies an individuals identity based on their physical characteristics. Biometrics included in a static chip provides a means by which the identity of visitors may be verified, and hinders entry by imposters and the use of fraudulent documents. Further advances in biometrics technology are growing all the time.

Biometric passport is a technology advancement that will spread across the world, and countries that have not adopted it will be alienated from rest of the world. The biometric passport is believed to be as a foolproof method to stop passport cheats in their tracks. A biometric passport is takes a scanned information of your photograph and stores it in a chip which is built into the passport itself. The DNA biometric passport is in development and has yet to be implemented fully, and governments that wish to implement it need to plan to ensure a smooth transition from the present system to the new system.

Creating The Premise For Your Novel

What is a Premise?

Your premise is your first expression of the Novel that you will create.

Essentially the Premise of a story can be explained as, What is at stake in your story. Your premise is the foundation that you will build the rest of your story upon. The premise will act as the foundation used to build your characters, your theme, and your stories plots.

The premise is used to lay out the primary goals of your Hero or Heroine. It is used to lay out the path that the protagonist of your story will use to achieve the stories goals.

When you undertake the development of your stories premise, there are a few things that you must take into account. First you must quickly introduce your main character. Then you must make a decision about your main characters objectives, what is it that they are trying to accomplish in the story. This will explain to the reader what it is that your characters desire.

Visit http://www.scruffyscribe.com for more great writing information.
An explanation of your main characters driving desire can go a long way to explaining most of the characters actions throughout the story, especially when those actions are not directly benificial to the characters personal well being. And, finally you must also include a sense of where the story is going and what the outcome will be.

This sounds like alot to be put into one sentence and it is. I personally dont like the limitation of forcing your premise into one single sentence. I think that a great premise is best expressed in a short paragraph, rather than condensed into a single sentence.

In the next section we will examine how I go about creating a premise for my stories.

Why Do I Need a Premise?

It is very important that your premise be well laid out and easily recognizable to your readers. If you fail to properly present the premise of the story to your readers, you may end up losing the readers interest. A reader who loses interest in one of your stories, will quickly cease to be a reader of all of your stories. So you can see how important it is to have a good solid premise for each of your novels or stories.

Traditionally, your premise is supposed to be a one sentence representation of the story you are going to write. But as I have already said, I personally dont like the limitation of forcing your premise into one single sentence. I think that a great premise is best expressed in a short paragraph, rather than condensed into a single sentence.

This premise will contain the introduction of your main character, the event that starts the action, and some sense of the direction in which the story will head.

Here is the single sentence premise for a Novel I am planning on Writing for this years National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) Competition:

A man travels to Egypt in 1850 to avenge a friends death and retrieve an ancient treasure.

Not so great is it?

Certainly lacks any Ooomph.

But I did manage to get everything into the one sentence, just like I was supposed to. I have introduced my character, A man, his objectives, Travel to Egypt and Avenge a friends death, and also the sense of the direction in which the story will head, which is explained with and retrieve an ancient treasure.

Wow, alot of stuff in one simple little sentence.

But is it really any good?

Sure, why not.

Can I turn this into a Novel?

Of Course.

Could we improve on it and make it better?

YES!!

In the next section I will show you how you can turn a simple premise like the one above, into a monster of a premise that you can use to write a great novel.

How Do I Write a Premise?

There are few successful novels that do not contain a good solid premise. Sure good novels can be written without initial planning or intention, but the premise is there even if the author did not plan it out in advance. But it is far easier and safer for you to approach your Novel with a good strong premise in hand rather than counting on luck or intuition to stick it in there for you.

So here are the steps that you can use when creating your premise.

1) Take your story idea, quickly write down one sentence that explains your entire story. Include who your story is about, what is going to happen to your Hero or Heroine. Also include the location where it is going to happen.

Keep it simple for now like I have in my example:

A man travels to Egypt in 1850 to avenge a friends death and retrieve an ancient treasure.

2) Now you need to add to this basic premise. Keep in mind that your premise need not be artistic or creative, it needs to be functional. Start adding strong verbs and nouns to help enhance your premise.

Take your starting premise, from step 1, and start building it up. Keep questioning yourself as you write it in order to include more details in your new and improved version. And, do not forget that you can break the limitation of containing it within one sentence now that you are building and expanding upon your more basic ideas.

Here is what I came up with for the example I used in step 1:

Upon hearing about the bloody murder of a close friend, a young man (our hero) undertakes an expedition to Egypt to find his friends killers. Once he arrives in Egypt his investigations and inquiries begin to unearth evidence of an age old secret society, and stories of a treasure that has been hidden for centuries. Circa 1850.

Is it War and Peace? No. But it is much better than what we had in step 1. Keep working at it until you have something that gets you excited.

There are a few things to remember when we begin building a premise. The more specific and clear your premise is, the better. For example the premise, A guy goes out into the world and some stuff happens., is not likely to help you to write the best novel that you are capable of. Also keep in mind that if your story is unclear in premise form, it is likely to be transfered to your novel as an unclear idea as well.

Your premise is not meant to be artistic or even pretty. You are not looking to create originality or a unique idea when you build your premise. Instead you are looking to set out the foundation to help support your developing story.

A premise on its own is nothing. In order for it to matter, you must take the time to build it up until it becomes an exciting representation of the story that you intend to tell. Use your premise as a tool to help you create the very best novel that you can.

Do Kids Have Too Much Homework

In the late 90s, feature stories began appearing in the national media about children and parents who were so overwhelmed by the amount of homework that it was destroying their family life and causing psychological damage. The evidence presented in these stories was often anecdotal, profiling just one or two families. However, the articles were published in enough respected publications that they sparked a national debate on whether children have too much homework. Schools scrambled to create homework policies, parents held protests, and children began to receive sharply mixed messages on the value of homework.

In all the fuss, people never realized that the information contained the articles simply wasn't true. In 2003, the Brown Center on Educational Policy at the prestigious Brookings Institution released a report that shattered the perception that American students are staggering under an unreasonable load of homework. In fact, they found just the opposite: American students probably don't spend enough time on homework. Gathering data from a number of studies that had been performed in the late 90s, the Brown Center drew four startling conclusions.

Typical students, from kindergarten to high school, don't spend more than an hour a day doing homework. In fact, pointing to a study done by the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA, the Brown report found that more than two-thirds of college freshmen did five hours or less of homework during their final year of high school.

The report also analyzed studies and concluded that the homework load for the average student has not increased appreciably since the 1980s. This is in direct opposition to the anecdotal evidence cited in the article of homework increasing to as much as three hours per night.

However, a study performed in 1997 by Michigan State University showed that children at that time were spending just over two hours per week on study, which could include activities other than homework. Interestingly, this study is often used to prove that students have too much homework, since the weekly hours spent on study increased over the life of the study by 23 minutes. The Brown Center postulates that this statistical increase was actually caused by children who previously had no homework at all and because they had advanced in grade, now had homework.

Finally, the Brown report found that, contrary to the articles' portrayal of militant parents protesting homework, most parents are satisfied with the amount of homework their children receive. In fact, if parents were dissatisfied with the amount of homework their children had, it was because they felt it wasn't enough.

Underwater Photography - Just a Hobby or is there a Serious Side?

When we think of underwater cameras and photography, we think of capturing what we see while snorkeling and diving; we think about the pictures well take and share. We practice taking better and better pictures; its a hobby and we love it. Or we share them with people not lucky enough to have seen the beauty of what lies beneath the seas and oceans. The fish whose colors weve only seen in saltwater tanks. We think about good things; vacations and relaxation, adventure and exotic creatures.

But there are other uses for underwater cameras that dont paint such a pleasant picture. Unfortunately, I was reminded of this recently when two young children disappeared after wandering off. Their home was by a river. Im sure theyd been told of the dangers of the water, to not go near it without an adult. But the draw may have been too much. The river was running high as there had been recent storms.

Search and rescue operations use underwater photography to search for drowning victims as well as missing objects. Of course, the recovery of drowning victims as quickly as possible to bring closure to families suffering from the loss of a loved one is the primary purpose. These searches typically have been done using divers and water-trained dogs. However; underwater searches can be very treacherous to the divers, and are time consuming. Another problem being that many times it is unknown where the victim was last seen, broadening the search to a vast area, often to hundreds of acres.

Underwater cameras enable law enforcement to see water crime scenes in areas too dangerous for divers, and without disturbing the site. Investigations with video tapes may be used to determine whether or not there actually is an underwater crime scene. Rather than send divers in to dangerous waters, cameras can be used to search in polluted and hazmat areas. There are underwater cameras designed to search at depths of up to 120 feet in most water conditions. Infra-red systems allow for searches in low light situations.

Amazingly, divers have used video photography to locate objects that have been missing for several years or more. A missing persons case was solved after 72 years when a couples car was found, putting to rest what had happened to them, and bringing closure to their family. Not to mention the unfortunate rumors that they had left their children voluntarily.

Besides simple pleasure and law enforcement, underwater photography is used in many other ways. Marine biologists can locate fish and living marine animals to study their habitats. On a boat, cameras can check the anchor and hull and look for items that have fallen overboard. Pools can be monitored. Swimmers can be filmed under water to evaluate their swimming and diving techniques.

In sport fishing, underwater photography is used to identify actual fish from underwater debris, decreasing fishing time. You can check what type of fish is in your location; see that your lure doesnt become entangled in weeds; check the hull; and check crab or lobster pots without getting wet. The cameras can even be used for ice fishing.

Not only are these remarkable cameras and their technology an exciting hobby, they have numerous other valuable applications.

From Work At Home Guitar Teacher To Full Music School

Andrew James Hymel is the owner, proprietor, and music director of Andy Hymel School of Music in Gretna, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans. It is a success story that has blossomed from one mans dream of music education into a consortium of teachers and students who strive for excellence and value the importance of the preservation of the arts in todays New Orleans.

When asked about his Post Katrina experience, Hymel relied, "It was scary to reopen the school and it was like starting over, but I felt the community needed something to use as an outlet for the emotions caused by Katrina. We weren't just rebuilding a music school; we were rebuilding the minds and souls of our students and their families."

Andy Hymel earned a degree in Jazz Performance from Loyola

University in New Orleans, LA. At a young age, his musical talents developed from jamming with neighborhood musicians in the Algiers area, notably Frank Saucier, a regular solo artist at Kerrys Irish Pub in the French Quarter. In the 80s, he honed his guitar skills at the Worlds Fair with the vocal group Celebration and is to this day appreciative of that opportunity.

While his music accomplishments were self-developed, his community involvement and business acumen were mostly inspired by his dad.

His father, Lloyd Hymel, is a pillar of the Algiers community and an elder of Saint Andrews the Apostle Church. He was Chairman of the West Bank Chamber of Commerce, President of the Petroleum Club and the West Bank Rotary Club, and Vice President of AMF Tuboscope in Harvey, Louisiana.

One of his brothers, Philip Hymel, is the Chief Financial Forecaster of Entergy New Orleans and recently served as President of the University of New Orleans Alumni Association. Another brother, David Hymel, is in the oil and gas business and for years organized the oil field Chili Cook Off; recently at Boomtown Casino and previously at Alvin Andrew Callender Naval Airforce Base in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

Another brother, Greg, owned and operated a Zacks Frozen Yogart franchise and is a Ginger Baker Cream style drummer. His is also an artist/painter and is displayed in several restauraunts in the New Orleans area. Obviously, the senior Mr. Hymel set a solid foundation for his children to excel in business and community development.

With that said, it is apparent that Andy Hymel has parlayed his strong family values and love of music instruction from a work at home business into a full blown, reputable, school of music.

Branching off from the security of working from home, Hymel first opened his school at 601 Terry Parkway in Gretna, LA, in an area commonly known as Terrytown. What started as a handful of students quickly blossomed into a full school of music with 280 students strong and has had to relocate to a larger building at 1800 Stumph Boulevard. Predominantly a guitar teacher, he also teaches piano and bass. His drum instructor, Jumpin Joe Gelini, graduated from Berklee School of Music in Boston, a great accomplishment considering only 2% of those who attend Berklee actually graduate. The school has a wide variety of teachers, including band directors and vocal coaches, covering several instruments and genres. Even Hymels high school guitar teacher from Holy Cross is on the payroll!

Mr. Hymel (not his dad Lloyd) believes that music education can start at the Pre-K level and has programs and original songs in place for the youngest of students. He also has courses geared for Baby Boomers as well.

In between those age groups, one of his most amazing accomplishments is that 5 of his students have received full scholarships to various schools of music and EVERY one of his 10 students who have applied to NOCCA was accepted on their first audition!

One former student begins as an understudy this fall with the Metropolitan Opera Association. Another, Alex Zander, is a published singer/songwriter. Alex is an entire story yet to be written. Stay tuned.

In addition to his accomplishments as a teacher and entrepreneur, he has written and recorded hundreds of original songs and his efforts are starting to be recognized. Most notably. the son of Clarenece Frogman Henry, marketing himself as Clarence Frogman Henry Jr. , is considering many of Hymels songs for his soon to be released CD.

For Andrew James Hymel this is only the start. As an unabashed Beatles fan, an admitted student of New Orleans music, and an unwavering ambassador of music education, the sky is the limit!

Whether you listen to me or not, you will certainly hear from him.

Mountain Biking Tips

If you're looking for a truck or SUV to explore the countryside, you're thinking two wheels too many. To get really close to nature, have a blast and keep in shape, grab a mountain bike and head for the hills.

The popular "mountain bike" style was developed, as the name suggests, from bicycles designed for cruising up and down a mountain. Obviously racing down a mountainside can be a real adrenaline rush, but it can also be quite dangerous. Anyone actually considering taking on a mountain pass is advised to invest in a bike designed to accomplish such a task. With the right equipment and some common sense, mountain biking is a fun sport for the entire family.

Find your Style

There are three basic styles of mountain biking: cross-country, freestyle, and downhill. Although the styles vary in many ways, each demands a great deal of skill. Choosing your personal riding style will determine the type of mountain bike you should buy. In other words, don't buy a heavy downhill bike if you plan on busting moves with your buddies. A lighter freestyle model is better suited for trick riding.

Hone your Skills

Every great mountain biker needs endurance and stamina. It takes ambition and, sometimes, courage to be able to conquer nature's courses successfully. Like any sport, mountain biking also involves time and practice. Lots of practice. You can't expect to go from riding your bike around the block, to scaling rocky hills and maneuvering through winding trails. Anticipate getting a few bumps and bruises before you're ready to ride with the big kids.

Location, Location, Location

Thinking of mountain biking as riding an unpaved surface. Your bike is ready to take you virtually anywhere you want to be, and many North American parks offer designated biking locations. Before hitting the trails in a park or conservatory, check for rules and regulations. There may even be trail maps available for you to bring along on your trek. Ask about local mountain biking clubs and group trail rides and competitions. You can easily find this information by asking at a local bike shop, checking the papers or searching online. Beginner to advanced groups are available, so be sure you're joining a club that matches your skill level.

Choose your Ride

Once you've narrowed down your mountain biking style--cross-country, freestyle or downhill--the bike you select basically comes down to personal choice. There is a huge variety of makes and models on the market today. Compare styles, shapes and price. Be sure to consider the quality of the bike and the reliability of the manufacture, but don't be fooled into thinking the most expensive models are necessarily the best bikes. The Internet can be a great tool in shopping for a bike, as some compare quality, features and prices for you. When you find a bike you like, ask for a test drive. A great mountain biker needs to feel as one with his or her own bike. Check for a comfortable seat and position, and be sure that the brakes and gears are suited to you.

A mountain bike can be a big investment, so ask around and do your homework before you buy.

Keep it Safe

Mountain biking on unpaved roads and through unexplored territories can be very dangerous. You literally do not know what's lying around the corner. Always wear a helmet, wherever you ride. Elbow and kneepads and riding gloves are also good choices to help keep you safe and comfortable, and goggles should be worn if you're riding in the woods or following a group. Finally, keep a few band-aids in your pack--just in case.

Whether you're riding across the county, or across the country, mountain biking is a great way to see the sights and stay in shape. Wear a helmet, proceed with caution and have fun!

Using Fish Tank Accessories To Beautify Your Fish Tank

Did you know that you can make your fish tank beautiful by using fish tank accessories? Regardless of the size of your fish tank, there are fish tank accessories available for your kind of tank and your budget. If you have a large fish tank, you can make it even more appealing by adding fish tank accessories to it. These fish tank accessories help enhance the beauty of your fish. You may be pleasantly surprised to know that fish tank accessories do not require a lot of money. In fact, there are fish tanks that already come with accessories already built in.

If your fish tank holds 10 gallons of water or more, install fish tank accessories such as a water pump and an air filter. A water pump keep the water in the tank moving continuously and freely. In addition, with a water pump, you won't have to change the water too often. The air filter, on the other hand, will supply the water with oxygen.

Depending on where you live and how the temperature changes where you live, a heater and water thermometer are two more fish tank accessories that you may need to purchase. A heater is an essential fish tank accessory as it will help keep the temperature in the tank constant. Regulating the water temperature is important to keeping your fish alive; too high or too cool a temperature will kill your fish. A water thermometer will help you monitor the water temperature to ensure that your fish is safe.

You can further beautify your fish tank by adding lights. Keep in mind, though, when you are shopping for fish tank accessories that these items come in standard sizes so you want to pick the ones that are appropriate for the size of your fish tank. In case you have a very large fish tank, you may have to check into having some fish tank accessories customized.

Installing fish tank accessories like a water pump, air filter, heater and water temperature does not imply that you should stop taking an active part in taking care of your fish. You still need to keep a close watch over your fish and make sure that the fish tank is regularly cleaned and maintained. This is the only way you can be sure that your fish stay healthy and alive.

Bucovina - A Travel Guide To Romania's Region Of Painted Monasteries

Bucovina is a region of monasteries, unique in the world for their colorful exterior frescoes. Equally well worth the visit are the villages, still leading the traditional way of life, and the stunning landscapes.

The name Bucovina may not mean much to many people, but Bucovina, and its brave princes, played an important part in the history of the Balkans during the XV and XVI centuries, and in particular with regard to relations with the Ottoman Empire. The impressive number of churches to be found there, with their fine exterior and interior frescoes, have been preserved and handed down from mediaeval times, and because of their uniqueness and artistic value, were added to UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage List in 1993. There is, indeed, no other place in the world where such a group of churches, with such high quality exterior frescoes, are to be seen.

The churches were founded, in most cases, as family burial places of princes and high nobles. Each painter, although following the canonical iconographic programme, interpreted the scenes in a slightly different way. The scenes were first painted on the interior walls, and then extended to the exterior ones. The reasons for such vast scenes were both religious and didactic: to promote Orthodoxy and to educate the illiterate.

Tourist information in Romania: The notion of "tourist information office" disappeared after the 1989 revolution because all the local tourist offices were abolished. The travel agencies created by the private sector took over the role of the tourist information offices. They can provide you with the information and services for organizing tours in Bucovina. Because Romanians themselves increasingly prefer to travel outside Romania, the travel agencies are more specialized in organizing international travel. Local tours have been neglected for many years but are now flourishing again.

The private sector is now the most advanced, and appreciated both inside and outside the country for the western level of comfort and services.

Tourist information can also be found in the annual publication of the Romanian Yellow Pages. All bookshops sell travel guides, but it is not so easy to find travel guides of Bucovina in the main towns. An exception could be the newspaper stores.

Our travel guide: Bucovina - A Travel Guide to Romania's Region of Painted Monasteries is an excellent full-color book on a wide variety of cultural heritage subjects from mural paintings and archaeology to architecture and local traditions. It also gives practical information and tips on travel to and in Romania, what to see, where to stay, what to buy and to eat, to get the most of Bucovina.

We hope that you will enjoy your travel to Bucovina!

Copywriting Secrets - How To Write Killer Website Copy

I always get the same question when it comes to website design

Is website copy really that important?

Well, if youre interested in actually making a profit from anything you do online, its CRITICAL that you have killer website copy!

Now I know what youre probably thinking

What is killer website copy?

Writing killer website copy simply means using words on your website that are SO GOOD that anyone who is interested in what you are selling is COMPELLED to do business with you right now!

The best way to write copy for your website is to imagine you are right there with your prospect selling him / her on the benefits of doing business with your company over all others.

Heres a quick exercise

Imagine you have a hot lead that is ready to buy and is enquiring about what you are selling

Imagine that you only have one chance to convince them that your offering is the best in the market

What would you say?

How would you say it?

What would you have to say to convince somebody to buy from you right here, right now?

Write the answers to the above questions down. This is your sales presentation.

Now that you have the answers to the above questions, you need to answer the objections as well. Remember, you are not actually there with them, but they will definitely have objections.

You only have one opportunity to get them to buy your offering. And if you leave any objections unanswered, you risk losing them forever.

So what would the possible objections be? Write them down.

And how would you answer them? Write down your answers.

Then combine your sales presentation with your objection handling and you have your core sales pitch.

Now its time to rewrite your copy.

Go over the entire copy and rewrite it so it flows. And when you are rewriting the copy the most important thing to remember is to

KEEP IT CONVERSATIONAL!

Dont write like you are a big institution (unless you are). You will get far greater results by writing like you talk.

Write like you are sitting right there with them talking to them. Use stories, examples, sub-headings, bullets and, most importantly, a headline.

Usually, I recommend writing at least 50 to 100 different versions of a headline and then selecting the best headline from the list.

IMPORTANT

The headline is the most important part of your website because it is reason that most of your website visitors will continue to read your sales copy. Without a great headline, hardly anybody will read your website copy.

Jerry Rice : 1983 Draft Day Picks

Jerry Rice was born on October 13, 1962 in Crawford, Mississippi. Although Rice never had the physical abilities of some other great athletes, he always had the work ethic and determination to get the job done. For this reason, Rice is widely regarded as the best wide receivers to ever play the game. And many people feel that he is the greatest football player of all time regardless of position.

In high school Rice played on the defensive side of the football, and was good enough to make the All State team. But although he accomplished a lot in high school, no NCAA Division I football programs offered him a scholarship.

With no other options, Rice decided to attend Mississippi Valley State University, an NCAA Division I-AA program. In 1983 Rice had a great season, and set many records along the way. He had 102 receptions, 1,450 yards, and was named to several All American teams. He followed this up with an equally good season as a senior in 1984. All of his college football accomplishments led him to being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in August of 2006.

Rice was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers with the 16th pick of the first round in the 1985 NFL Draft. Although Rice struggled with drops during his first year in the NFL, he turned some heads. He finished the season with 927 yards on 49 catches. And ever since that first season Rice was off and running. At the time of his retirement he held many NFL records including receptions, receiving yards, touchdown receptions, touchdowns, all purpose yards, and many more.

It is safe to say that Jerry Rice is the best wide receiver to ever play the game of football. In addition to his great football skills he had the heart of a champion, and the work ethic to match.

Controversial Rolls Royce Plant Delayed

The automotive industry has become very interested in Rolls Royce’s plans on building a new test facility in the area of Lanarkshire in the United Kingdom. After all, this one has been said to cost the auto company some 45 million. You see, Rolls Royce was actually planning on creating and building such a test plant in its efforts to actually consolidate and merge the operations for two of its plants currently operating in the area of East Kilbride. One is a repair and overhaul factory while the other structure has been created as a test bed facility.

According to Rolls Royce, they are planning on bringing both of these facilities in one plant which would be the new one to be built at the Langland Business Park. It would be built on 36,000 square feet of land. Of course, when the new plant would be constructed, the two ones in East Kilbride would still function and produce Rolls Royce products from Rolls Royce car parts to Rolls Royce vehicles.

This has been actually confirmed by a spokesperson from the auto company. In fact, he further explained that the operations of the two facilities in East Kilbride would still continue. Workers in the plant would need not worry about their jobs for the company has no plans on cutting off the number of workers nor lay them off their current jobs.

The spokesperson further shares that the decision on the delay of the new Rolls Royce plant has been brought about by a number of factors. One of these was the weakening US dollar. Aside from this, he further says that the delay was also caused by the high cost of raw materials needed to build the new facility as well as the increase in building costs.

“The combined effect of a number of external factors on the Langland’s business case has necessitated a delay in the proposed investment. Rolls Royce remains committed to Scotland and this decision does not affect the company’s intention to grow the East Kilbride business, which will be taking on a new strip and build work for the RB211 Gas Turbine Module before the end of this year,” states the Rolls Royce representative.
